Description
A stunning William Powell No.1 sidelock ejector with a one of a kind hand engraved model by Geoffrey Casbard, very well known for his standout engraving on best English guns. This gun has beautiful game scene sidelocks with scroll work to the underside, top strap and trigger guard which has gold serial numbers inlayed. The gun is in great condition with a strong grained exhibition grade walnut stock which is very clean and well looked after. It has a long length of pull in 15 3/8’’ with a comb height of 1 ½’’-2’’, it is cast for a left handed shooter which also shows with the canted triggers the trigger guard having a beaded edge to its left hand side, giving the shooter a lovely controlled feel to the gun. It really has been well looked after since being made for the original and only owner. The barrels show minor wear to the blacking of the barrel tips and forend area. This gun was Nitro Proofed from new and with its open chokes it makes it fit for standard steel shot. Comes fitted to its original leather makers case.
